Found in the dry forests of South Madagascar
Mainly vegetarian, preferring fruit, leaves and flowers
Threat Level: Endangered
The ring-tailed lemur is threatened in the wild by deforestation due to charcoal production and burning for pasture. It is also hunted for food and the illegal pet trade. Ring-tailed lemurs are part of a successful European Studbook Breeding Programme
