Ever fancied finding out more about working traditionally with green, unseasoned wood?

This one-day taster session will introduce you to the ‘bodging’ skills of cleaving, trimming, shaving and turning using locally sourced greenwood with a few simple hand tools such as axes, drawknives, gouges and chisels, learning to use them correctly and safely.

We’ll use traditional wooden devices such as cleaving breaks, shavehorses and pole lathes.

The main focus of the day will be the making of small wooden items which will be yours to take away.

No previous experience required. 9: 30am – 4: 00pm
